What Other Sports Do We Offer?

Rally O Practice Course
  Rally Obedience

Our Rally O classes prepare dogs and handlers for competitive Rally O- a type of obedience that focuses more on the dog-handler relationship and less on precision. In Rally O, handlers and dogs must complete obedience exercises throughout a planned course, often encountering a variety of challenges. Currently, CKC-style Rally O trials are offered in the province (for registered purebred dogs only), but NADA's goal is to also become a member of the Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) and host trials which are open to dogs of all breeds and mixes, as well as dogs with disabilities. Who can participate?

As with all NADA classes, dogs of all ages, breeds and mixes are welcome as long as they are not aggressive towards people or other dogs. Our foundation obedience classes are a great place to start with puppies or dogs who have had no formal training, as they provide a great basis for moving on to other sports (such as agility) or to more advanced obedience classes. Obedience classes are also excellent for dogs or handlers who are physically unable to take part in more active dog sports such as agility and flyball.
