Saturday & Sunday 10:00-12:00pm (4 days) with Dianne Ford. Classes will take place on September 12th,13th,19th & 20th.
Prerequisites for this course: Due to sound sensitivities of the instructor, dogs who incessantly bark in their crates will be asked to crate in their cars or should register in the Preplanned ADDI. Dogs must be comfortable being crated, competent on all agility equipment (contacts and 12 weaves), and able to sequence at least 17 obstacles at a time. Dogs must be comfortable and capable of working in a group setting, and they must have a reliable recall and not interrupt other dogs who are working with their handlers.
Over the four classes, full sized courses will be trained. Rules and regulations will not be explicitly discussed as the focus will be on course memorization and handling sequences. Focus will be on handling options and optimal dog path choices for the team, along with Senior/Champion level skill challenges. Courses will be rated UKI Senior/Champ Level, which is somewhat similar to AAC Advanced/Masters, CKC Intermediate/Expert Level. All equipment will be used in this course (including 12 weaves in some courses). Dogs will be working off leash in this class, and one dog will be working at a time. Dogs who are not working or the next dog up (warming up) must be crated or kept in the car.
